Through the Advanced Care Innovative Community Participation Program, NDIS participants can develop social skills, showcase their talents, and participate in the community meaningful way. They will also increase their self-esteem and independence.
By supporting and participating in the activities you enjoy, we can help you connect with your community and learn new skills at the same time.
Services for community participation include the following
- Workshops for finding suitable employment
- A mentorship program to help you overcome obstacles and succeed in your career
- Support and assistance in starting a small business
- Skills classes aimed at improving existing ones or learning new ones

An NDIS support worker may be able to help you attend courses for personal development under the Assistance with Social and Community Participation program. You can also find social groups. You can also go on outings or holidays.
Advanced Care provides the following support:
- Learn new cooking skills, techniques and recipes at cooking classes. NDIS funding can be used to participate in this program.
- People who lack food on the table can attend free food distributions and community meals for those in need.
